Vincent James “Jim” Corulla, Sr., age 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on May 6, 2026. Born on April 6, 1943, in New York, New York, Jim spent much of his adult life in Louisiana before eventually settling in Vicksburg, where he met and married the love of his life, Pam Pownall. Together, they built a life centered on family, friendship, faith, and service to others.
Jim was known for his warm personality, generous spirit, and love of life. In his younger years, he was an avid runner and golfer, always enjoying time outdoors and the camaraderie that came with sports. Later in life, he found joy in music and loved playing his guitars. Following retirement, Jim and Pam became well-known throughout the Vicksburg community through their karaoke business, bringing laughter and entertainment to countless friends and neighbors.
A devoted member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge, Jim also had a compassionate heart for helping others. He and Pam regularly visited the Veterans Home in Jackson, delivering bags of treats and spreading kindness to residents and staff alike.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pam; his mother, Elizabeth See; his son, William James Corulla; brothers Carl Miller Jr., Ronnie Miller, Joey Miller, and Jerry Miller; and sister Margaret Matthews.
He is survived by his son, Vince Corulla (Mollie) of Madison, Mississippi; daughter Tori Kivett (Robbie) of Tallulah, Louisiana; stepdaughter Lauren Meier (Scott) of Collierville, Tennessee; stepson Ron Pownall Jr. (Jennifer) of Vicksburg; several cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, humor, faith, and unwavering love for family and community.
