The Northern York County Regional Police Department extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to the family, friends, and colleagues of Corporal John P. Morley (Retired), who passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026. His passing is a tremendous loss to the law enforcement community and to all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him.
Corporal Morley was a proud graduate of East Stroudsburg University in 1992 and began his distinguished career with the Northern York County Regional Police Department on May 24, 1993. Over the course of more than three decades, he dedicated his life to serving and protecting the citizens of Northern York County with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
Throughout his 32 years of service, Corporal Morley fulfilled many important roles within the department. He served honorably as a patrol officer, field training officer, detective, fatal accident investigator, and corporal. In each assignment, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment, and a deep sense of duty. His experience and guidance helped shape and mentor countless younger officers, many of whom credit him for their growth and success in law enforcement.
Corporal Morley retired in April 2025 after an extraordinary career marked by dedication, courage, and selfless service to his community. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the officers he mentored, and the lasting impact he made within the department.
We honor and remember Corporal Morley not only for his years of faithful service, but also for the respect, kindness, and professionalism he showed every day. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
